They help a director communicate their vision to everyone involved in the production of movies, television, commercials, and games.<\/p>\n\n<p>They can also save a Production tens of thousands of dollars by bringing attention to scenes that just don\u2019t work as imagined \u2014\u00a0<em><strong>before any filming takes place.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n<p>The \u201clook\u201d of storyboards can range from elaborate, tightly rendered illustrations, to simple, sketchy \u201cthumbnails\u201d.
