Storyboards are are a useful part of film-making — a visual interpretation of the written script. They help a director communicate their vision to everyone involved in the production of movies, television, commercials, and games.

They can also save a Production tens of thousands of dollars by bringing attention to scenes that just don’t work as imagined — before any filming takes place.

The “look” of storyboards can range from elaborate, tightly rendered illustrations, to simple, sketchy “thumbnails”. Or anything in between.

CASE 39
